Message from HEPP
I hope this email finds you and your wider school community safe and well. Here at Hepp we have been in awe of the work which is taking place in our partner schools prior to Easter and beyond to ensure that learners and staff are safe and can continue with teaching and learning.
We have been busy too, working to ensure that when you are ready to access them our resources are readily available for you to continue the vital work on widening participation to higher education across our region. As you know we recently launched HeppHUB – our online space to provide support and signposting to additional provision. As teachers and advisers we would encourage you to register at www.hepp.ac.uk/register
Resources for learners, parents and guardians
As more learning takes place in the home and parents and guardians take on a new role in young peoples’ learning we are keen to make it easy for you to signpost your communities to resources that can facilitate conversations that would ordinarily start in schools. We have therefore created a new page for this purpose, please share widely with your communities and in your communications with learners and parents; www.hepp.ac.uk/tasters
Signposting to other provision
It is Hepp’s goal to be the single point of contact for the region to ensure that everyone in our region knows that higher education exists in many forms and is an option for them. As well as creating our own resources signposted above, we provide a signposting service to the excellent resources available from our funding partners – The University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University you can find these at www.hepp.ac.uk/partner-provision
We also work closely with a number of other organisations who share our vision for the region and can offer support and guidance on a variety of topics. You can find these at https://www.hepp.ac.uk/provision/our-wider-links/
We have also made some changes to our homepage at www.hepp.ac.uk to help new visitors find the resources they need.
We sincerely hope this work is helpful to you, please do not hesitate to get in touch with your Regional Coordinator if you need anything else .
