Key Stage 3 Graduation Celebration - rescheduled

We are delighted to invite you to our rescheduled Key Stage 3 graduation celebration on Tuesday 13 September 2022. Year 9 students have had a challenging start to life at secondary school, but have shown great resilience and perseverance in their approach to school in such difficult circumstances.

All Year 9 students, parents and carers are invited to this event where we will celebrate the success of the year group and the transition to the next important part of their journey; the start of their GCSE courses. We will be presenting awards to students in recognition of completing Key Stage 3. Following this, we will be celebrating students in the year group who have consistently displayed commitment in line with our school values. Parents and carers are encouraged to come and celebrate this success with students. Following the presentation of awards, there will be refreshments provided for all who attend and students will then be invited to stay for further entertainment. We encourage students, parents and carers to dress formally for this event, however this is not a “prom” and there is no strict dress code.

Below are the details of the evening:

5:15pm Students, parents and carers to be seated in form groups. Food and drinks will be available.

5:45pm Ceremony starts.

7:15pm Parents and carers leave

7:30pm Entertainment for students begins

8:30pm Students leave/are collected.

Please note that students cannot only just attend for the entertainment they must attend for the whole event, however they are able to leave after the award ceremony, at 7.15pm, if they do not wish to stay for the entertainment. Staff will also be leaving site at 8:30pm. If parents and carers wish to collect students, you must arrange this with your child. The premises will be locked at 8:45pm.

There will be no charge for this event, however, we do need the reply slip to be completed so we can plan in advance for seating and refreshments.
