Come and find out more about your school – Stocksbridge HomeLink

It has been over eighteen months since we have been able to host any events in school. Through this time most of our home to school liaison has been through letters and emails. Parents and carers have not had chance to visit school and to discuss our provision.

I would like to address this by inviting you to a meeting on Wednesday 20 October 2021 5.30pm to 6.30pm. I, the senior leadership team and governors will lead a meeting which will cover:

• How the school, learning and support has developed through the pandemic and lockdown

• How we intend to address gaps and missed opportunities caused by pandemic disruption

• The school’s current successes and areas for development

• Our vision and plans for the future.

Following the meeting there will be an opportunity for a brief tour of the building and facilities so you can see for yourself the environment in which your children are taught every day.

To help us plan the meeting, I would be grateful if you could notify the school if you would like to attend and how many places you would like by sending an email to homelink@stocksbridgehigh.co.uk with the subject line of HomeLink Meeting. Please note that this is a meeting for current parents and carers without students and if you intend to attend please send your email by 3pm on Friday 15 October 2021. Please ensure that you also include your names, your child’s name and their form tutor name in the email.

Also, we would welcome any questions in advance of the meeting so, please do include them in your email confirming your attendance. We will try to answer as many as possible on the evening but will compile written answers to any we cannot fit in.

After this meeting, I would like parent information and consultation to be become a regular event at Stocksbridge High School. You will be invited to join our HomeLink group which will provide a termly opportunity to share key development and for us to hear your voice on them.
