I have held a Senior Leadership position in Trusts and Secondary Schools for the last 23 years and have been most recently the CEO of a small cross-phase Trust in Chesterfield, which increased my knowledge and understanding of Primary schools. Previous to this have been a Headteacher in two different Secondary schools in Doncaster and Chesterfield. I have been a National Leader of Education and supported a range of different organisations as part of their development, alongside leading my own school. I started my teaching career in Doncaster in 1996 as a teacher of Design and Technology and I believe that the time in the classroom gave me a strong foundation for my career.

Miss C Johnson

Deputy Headteacher - Inclusion

With over 20 years of teaching experience, Miss Johnson has taught in a variety of schools across several counties in the UK as well as teaching abroad, bringing a wealth of knowledge and diverse educational perspectives to SHS. As a specialist in Physical Education, she is passionate about promoting an active and healthy lifestyle, both inside and outside the classroom.

Driven by a deep commitment to teaching and student development, Miss Johnson strives to ensure every student at SHS leaves as a confident, kind individual equipped with the skills and opportunities to achieve their dreams. She believes strongly in the power of education to inspire self-belief, resilience, and success, and works hard to create an inclusive, motivating environment where every young person can thrive. At the heart of Miss Johnson’s philosophy is a desire to help students believe in themselves, achieve their goals, and leave SHS ready to embrace the next stage of their journey with determination and pride so they succeed in their future.

Mrs H Storr

Assistant Headteacher - Achievement

Mrs Storr has been an English teacher for over 20 years and has worked in a several schools in Barnsley and Sheffield over the course of her career. She has been a subject leader of English and media studies and has led faculties including English as an Additional Language and SEND. She has held a range of senior leadership positions, including Assistant Headteacher and SENCO. She has a wealth of experience in teaching and learning and is particularly interested in using the science of learning to ensure that our students are enabled to achieve excellent outcomes. Mrs Storr holds a master's degree in schools based senior leadership and management and is a member of the Chartered College of Teaching.
