Year 8 boys football fixture

Mercia 5-3 Stocksbridge

The Y8 boys narrowly lost out to Mercia in their first competitive game together. Following some good early saves from Callum, Mercia took a 3-goal lead before Alfie grabbed a lifeline on the stroke of half time.

Falling further behind at the start of the second half, Y8 again fought back with goals from Leo and Jack to leave a tense final few minutes but Mercia held out well for the win.
