Last Friday, Mrs Sherif had the privilege of taking some of our students to the Sheffield Children’s Book Awards ceremony - what an incredible day it was!

Our students were an absolute pleasure throughout the day, fully immersing themselves in every moment. They thoroughly enjoyed watching the ceremony, exploring the book stalls, meeting inspiring authors, and even getting their books signed!

But the highlight? After the ceremony! Our school - just our school - had the exclusive opportunity to meet with TWO brilliant authors: Josh Silver (author of Happyhead) and Steven Camden (author of Stand Up Ferran Burke). These talented authors blew us away with their kindness and generosity, dedicating their time to inspire and connect with us.

Our students truly stepped up, engaging enthusiastically, asking thoughtful questions, and showing just how passionate they are about reading and writing.

It was an absolutely outstanding end to a phenomenal day. A huge thank you to all the team at Sheffield Children's Book Awards and to Josh Silver and Steven Camden for making this experience unforgettable. Our students are still buzzing with inspiration!
